Introducing April!
Passionate, Imaginative and Enthusiastic
What's so special about me? Why would I, all of people, be suitable for this course? I believe you will have that burning question in mind, and I'm here to answer these burning questions!
I am April Shee, a student from ITE College East under Electronics Engineering. I think an easy way to sum me up is that I am in PIE, you may be wondering "isn't PIE a Singapore's road expressway?"
Well... Yes and No, but in this case, No. It actually stands for 'Passionate', 'Imaginative' and 'Enthusiastic'! Which I think best describe myself as a person!
For that, I think I will be best suited in this course!

As the President of my CCA, Angklung And Kulintang Ensemble, I learned to work harmoniously with my fellow Excos. Together, we run the weekly CCA sessions and plan events for our Angklung members.
My Excos and I also conducted a "CCA bonding event" at a chalet where we planned events like Barbeque and Treasure Hunt and much more..
Through this, many Angklung members did get closer to each other.
Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2019 and 2017, where we got Certificate of Accomplishment!

This was Filmed in 2017, we performed for our school's 40th anniversary.
The song performed was also one of our SYF song for 2017, 'Wave Of Hope' composed by our instructor Dzul Rabull.
Sewing Experience And Bernina
I've always been interested in sewing at a very young age. My grandmother was the one who thought me sewing and I used her paddling sewing machine to sew my first item, which was a Chow Chow Pillow.
I received my first professional sewing lesson when I was in the first year of ITE. My lecturer, which was also one of the teacher in charge of the sewing programme with Bernina recruited me along with four other girls from my class.
We successfully sew a Mask, a big and a small tote bag, Five stones, a pouch and are still currently working on 'ITE's 30th Anniversary' Project where we are required to sew a mask for every lecturer in ITE College East!
On 13th July 2022, we collaborated with students from ITE College Central and came around to teach a bunch of elders on how to sew a tote bag!
